Project
My name is JP Clough and I want to thank you for showing interest in my work and visiting my site. My art is a unique version of found object art, in that I only use natural, organic materials, for the most part. Since a very young age, I have found nature and all it's creations very interesting, including the remnants of plants or animals that were once living. My primary source of material is driftwood, which I then add other natural materials to, such as evergreen cones or needles, bone and shell parts, as well as geologic deposits such as semi-precious stones.
All my materials go through a cleaning and heat treatment process before assembly. Some staining is added for color matching to the final product and most of my pieces are mounted on a black wood base and the entire sculpture is coated with a matte sealant.
